Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will troubleshoot machines and equipment featuring mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and control parts. You will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair work to minimize production downtime. Additionally, your role involves conducting preventative maintenance, system checks, and equipment inspections as scheduled. You will also maintain necessary inventories of parts used to ensure minimal downtime of equipment. Assisting with moving and installing equipment, disconnecting, and reconnecting service to machines is also part of your responsibilities. You will manufacture or procure repaired/replacement equipment and parts, and operate manual machine shop equipment/tools and/or welding equipment for maintenance repairs. Familiarity with all applicable safety programs and following prescribed procedures is essential.

Responsibilities

+ Troubleshoot machines and equipment with mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and control parts.

+ Perform maintenance and repair work to minimize production downtime.

+ Conduct preventative maintenance, system checks, and equipment inspections.

+ Maintain inventories of parts to ensure minimal equipment downtime.

+ Assist with moving and installing equipment, and disconnect/reconnect service to machines.

+ Manufacture or procure repaired/replacement equipment and parts.

+ Operate manual machine shop equipment/tools and/or welding equipment for maintenance repairs.

+ Familiarize with safety programs and follow prescribed procedures.

Essential Skills

+ 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.

+ Good mechanical ability and familiarity with electrical maintenance.

+ Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications for equipment repairs.

+ Familiarity with hand/power tools and gauges, meters, etc.

+ Troubleshooting skills for controllers and/or PLCs preferred.

+ High-school diploma or GED.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Some formal education and/or certificates in the trades preferred.

+ Good interpersonal skills, service, and team orientation.

Work Environment

Work in a smaller, climate-controlled shop that is well-lit. The first shift is scheduled from 6:00am to 2:00pm, and the second shift is 2:00pm to 10:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Menomonee Falls, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $64480.00 - $66560.00/yr.

• 401k company contribution (3% of earnings) paid every bi-weekly pay period even if the employee doesn’t defer their own money and is 100% vested immediately

• Annual performance bonus of up to 5% of annual salary based on metrics/goals and the results (payout of 4.9% to most production departments April 2025) Goes to ALL employees – except sales positions

• Annual profit share bonus from our HQ in Germany (Paid $2159 plus $54 per year of service to each employee in May 2024). Must be employed two years as of May 31 to get this bonus (paid in May)

• Pension Plan – contributions made after 3 years of service to a pension fund for each employee (current payment is $1600 per year)

• Wage increases scheduled for every January 1 (plus pay progression plans depending on where they start within the pay range)

• Full medical, dental, vision plan (no employee premiums increases for 9 years straight, and we haven’t stepped on the benefit design either)

• Ancillary benefits paid 100% by company (STD, LTD and Life Insurance for the employee and every family member)

• 2 weeks PTO/yr (pro-rated in year of hire) and 3 weeks the first of the year following one year of employment (4 weeks after 4 years and 5 weeks after 9 years)

• Office/professional/technical or highly skilled employees may start at the 3 week level of PTO – prorated
