Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA on a contract basis. In this role, you will be an integral part of the finance department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee PDI Point of Sale system (experience required)

•Oversee daily accounting functions, ensuring all transactions are accurate and comply with internal policies.

• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports to support decision-making.

• Collaborate on month-end and year-end closing processes, including external audits and tax filings.

• Develop and maintain internal control systems to ensure adherence to financial regulations.

• Assist in preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support organizational goals.

• Perform account reconciliation, journal entries, and bank reconciliations as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• PDI Point of Sale system

• At least 5 years of accounting experience

• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory management.

• Excellent analytical and organizational skills with a detail-oriented approach.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
