Athletic Trainer opportunity in beautiful Montana!!

Bitterroot Health is seeking candidates to fill an Athletic Trainer position. The Athletic Trainer is responsible for providing athletic training services to student athlete, including diagnosing and treatment of injuries to neuro-musculoskeletal system under the direction of a medical director. Work with coaches and students who engage in athletic activities from elementary to high school. Assist in preventing injury through the use of devices such as taping, bracing, exercises and instruction. Recognize and evaluate injuries and provide emergency care as appropriate and within the athletic training scope of practice. Rehabilitate injured athletes and plan programs to prevent injury and illness, and utilize other professional resources as indicated, such as referral to physical therapy, EMT, Primary Care Provider or Orthopedic Surgeon.

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Education: Bachelors or Master’s degree in Athletic Training

+ Licensures/Certification/Registrations: Current NATA certification in good standing, current BCLS (CPR) certification

+ Job Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of a large range of medical problems. Assessment, evaluation and treatment skills, along with working with other healthcare professionals and coaches. Ability to think critically and make independent decisions regarding the assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and return to play decisions per state licensure guidelines. Thorough and detailed work in regards to injury tracking and documentation. Must have the ability to organize, prioritize and perform multiple tasks with little or no supervision.

+ Experience: Entry level

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week based at Stevensville High School
