Experience in molecular imaging techniques, with emphasis in furthering radiopharmaceuticals (can include Antibodies, fragments, peptides, or small molecules, dependent on the target and use).

    Preferred Qualifications:

The preferred candidate would be familiar with radiochemical characterization techniques appropriate for preclinical studies in vitro and in vivo (HPLC, DLS, SEC, ITLC, MALDI) as well as familiarity with antibody or peptide conjugation methods to allow facile radiolabeling with radiometals (can include: 89Zr or 177Lu or 161Tb, and/or 225Ac). Experience in running imaging (PET/SPECT/CT/Cherenkov) as well as therapy studies. Expertise in antibody drug conjugate development. Experience with unconventional imaging radionuclides such as 52Mn, 86Y as well as radioiodine's 124I and 131I would be a strong benefit to the lab.

    Brief Description of Duties:

The Postdoctoral Associate will assist the Principal Investigator in the department of Radiology (https://renaissance.stonybrookmedicine.edu/radiology) and conduct preclinical research in the medicine and research translation building as part of the Stony Brook Cancer Center (https://cancer.stonybrookmedicine.edu/) . The lab focuses on the development of new radiopharmaceuticals in pancreatic and other rare cancers and using rational and synergistic therapy combinations to identify cell plasticity/senescence/resistance. The incumbent will also conduct cutting-edge radiopharmaceutical development research and ensure that all experiments are appropriately conducted following the policies and procedures of Stony Brook University..
