Job Summary
The House Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth and safe operation of front-of-house activities during music, theater, and dance performances. This role includes oversight of box office operations, audience seating, and enforcement of safety and accessibility protocols. The House Manager supervises and trains student ushers and box office staff, ensuring excellent customer service and efficient crowd management. They serve as the primary liaison between front-of-house and production teams, responding to patron needs and resolving issues promptly to maintain a welcoming and professional environment.
Education/Skills Requirements
A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required; and a thorough knowledge of theater protocols is preferred. Excellent communications, organizational, interpersonal skills required.
Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents
At least 1-2 years of customer service and/or prior house manager experience preferred.
Standard Work Days and Hours
Varies depending on productions each semester.
