    Special Education Long-Term Substitute 15:1:1 Teacher at Woodrow Wilson Elementary School, grades 3rd-5th

     

    Salary/Pay Scale:$44,832 as per the TAC contract (pro-rated)

    Position Summary/Purpose:

    There is an immediate opening for a special education long-term substitute teacher at Woodrow Wilson Elementary School. This position will begin as soon as possible and will continuethrough June 26, 2026.

    Requirements & Qualifications:

    + NYS Certification in Special Education is required (1st - 6th Grades)

    + Evidence of successful teaching experience with special education students in self-contained environments

    + Evidence of successful implementation of instructional support to struggling learners and/or students in need of enrichment opportunities

    + Demonstrated knowledge of technology and its application in the classroom

    + Ability to plan for and implement engaging and hands-on lessons

    + Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum and curriculum development, including planning, execution and evaluation of materials, supplies, and lessons

    + Ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues, parents, students and administrators on a regular basis

    + Ability to reflect on the teaching and learning process—allowing for growth and continuous improvement
