+ JOB REQUIREMENTS

+ Education

+ Masters of social work degree from an accredited graduate school, or Baccalaureate in social work required. Current licensure as LSW in the State of Arkansas preferred. Experience in geriatrics and/or older adult services preferred.

+ Experience

+ Three years experience in a health setting or supervisory/consultative responsibility in a social agency with acceptable standards required. One to two years experience providing social work case management services to a frail or elderly population preferred.

+ Physical

+ Normal hospital environment. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, climbing and reaching. Lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying up to 15 lbs. Uses computer, typewriter, fax machine and telephone.

+ JOB SUMMARY

+ The Social Worker will carry out, in collaboration with appropriate allied health professionals, the provision of services to individual groups, and community as required. They will be responsible for consultation with other agency personnel and for direct services to patients. The Social Worker must interact with all other medical center departments, promote good public relations for the department and the medical center.
