    Job Description

    We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join a team building cloud-native microservices on AWS. This is a greenfield opportunity where you’ll design and implement scalable backend systems that serve as the backbone for customer-facing applications. If you thrive in collaborative environments and can simplify complex technical concepts, this role is for you

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Design & Develop Microservices: Build and maintain backend services using Node.js within an AWS serverless architecture (Lambda, S3).

    • Integrate with Frontend Systems: Ensure all customer-related data flows through your services rather than legacy platforms.

    • Optimize Performance & Scalability: Consolidate data into a single source of truth, improving speed and reliability.

    • Collaborate with BFF Teams: Work closely with frontend-focused teams that consume your microservices.

    • Greenfield Development: Contribute to new projects and features from the ground up.

    • Proactive Problem-Solving: Identify issues before they arise and take initiative to resolve them.

    • Communicate Effectively: Break down complex technical ideas into simple, clear concepts for stakeholders.

     

    Pay rate range: $64-69/hour

    Skills and Requirements

    • Technical Skills:

    • Excellent experience as a backend developer with Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript expertise

    • Hands-on experience with AWS serverless services (Lambda, S3)

    • Understanding of microservices architecture and API design.

    • Strong familiarity with performance optimization and scalable system design.

    • Soft Skills:

    • Excellent communication—able to explain technical concepts simply.

    • Collaborative mindset with strong people skills.

    • Inquisitive, curious, and eager to learn.

    • Proactive and self-driven; takes initiative without waiting for direction. ○ Experience in greenfield projects.
