Job Description
Set up, fix, and take care of equipment and products to keep everything running smoothly.
Teach team members how to use and maintain the equipment properly.
Find and solve problems when things break or don’t work right.
Create step-by-step guides and safety instructions using info from engineers, vendors, and standard tools.
Help choose the best products or services for what customers need.
Use your knowledge and experience to plan and reach goals.
Handle different tasks and sometimes lead others on the team.
Be creative and flexible in how you solve problems.
Usually reports to a manager or department leader.

Skills and Requirements
Experience: 2–4+ years in the field or a related area.
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Eligibility: able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
Travel: Willing to travel for training, site visits, and business needs.
Availability: Able to respond to off-hours calls when needed to support operations or resolve urgent issues.
Technical Documentation: Skilled in creating or updating clear, accurate instructions for machinery, based on engineering and COTS documentation.
Maintenance Expertise: Hands-on experience with repair and troubleshooting of mechanical, electro-mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems; familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
Communication: Strong oral and written ability to provide technical guidance, analyze equipment failures, manage problems, and report trends to support maintenance teams.
Collaboration: Capable of working with internal and external customers to resolve equipment and system issues.
Knowledge: Understanding of life-cycle support methodologies and basic industrial control systems. Ability to remotely guide technicians in troubleshooting equipment and system issues using fault isolation techniques and online diagnostic tools.
Skilled at managing and prioritizing multiple tasks, problems, and projects based on customer needs, criticality, and operational impact.
Experience in process improvement using Six Sigma DMAIC methodology or engineering life-cycle support practices.
Capable of performing trend analysis on equipment failures and recommending actions to reduce recurrence.
Proficient in writing preventive maintenance routes and creating clear, accurate technical documentation.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
