Why Join Our Team?
+ Penn Medicine Princeton Health (PMPH) is seeking a full time MHA (Mental Health Associate) to work the evening shift within Princeton House Behavioral Health (PHBH). This position is within Wing 1 (Psych Dual Diagnosis/Voluntary Psych).
+ The Mental Health Associate assists Registered Nurses in providing direct psychiatric and medical care to patients. The Mental Health Associate also participates as a member of the treatment team in creating and maintaining a safe and therapeutic milieu.
Scheduling Requirements:
+ Full time, evening shift. 5 days a week, 3pm-11:30pm.
+ Every other weekend and every other holiday required.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
+ Performs behavioral observations, completes unit rounds, checks and monitors patients as assigned.
+ Assists staff in ensuring that patients get to scheduled program activities, including groups and meals, in a timely manner.
+ Obtains vital signs every shift.
+ Offers support and guidance to patients as needed.
+ Plans and leads a group activity four to five times per week, including recreational therapy, recovery tools, therapeutic board games, and journaling groups and other appropriate activity groups.
+ Checks meal trays for accuracy and monitors meals

What We Require for this Role:
Education
+ Bachelor of Arts or Science required.
+ A minimum of a bachelor’s degree, in a Social Science preferred.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association (AHA) required.
+ Driver’s License in employee’s state of residence with a record in good standing required.

Salary Range:
$18.11 - $28.86/Hourly
