As a **Security Officer - Access Control Transportation** in **Richmond, VA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more.

As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent transportation location, you will be responsible for access control, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents. You will maintain a visible presence, interact with the public, and provide outstanding customer service while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and reliability. What You’ll Do:

+ Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

+ Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education

+ Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams

+ Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service

+ Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

+ Assist with access control procedures, verifying identification and/or credentials of individuals entering restricted areas at the location.

+ Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and manage flow of personnel and visitors.

+ Provide customer service by following site-specific security-related policies and responding to inquiries from guests, staff, and/or the public.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.

+ Assist in emergency response activities as needed, including evacuations, medical incidents, or other urgent events.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to observe for unusual activity, security-related risks, or hazards.

+ Document observations, incidents, and/or issues in daily activity reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal management and site representatives.

What We’re Looking For:

+ Availability across various days and shifts

+ Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

+ A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company

+ Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

+ At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.

+ Customer service-related experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
