Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled AV Systems Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels at developing proposals, scopes, and systems designs. This position requires expertise in creating flow charts for system hook-ups, overlaying new design schematics on existing floor plans, and using specific systems engineering applications to streamline processes. If you are passionate about systems design and enjoy both tactical planning and collaborating with teams, this role is for you. This role is REMOTE with a preference for local talent in Los Angeles, CA.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Proposal and Scope Development:

+ Prepare comprehensive proposals and project scopes to align with client specifications and system requirements.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project objectives and client needs.

System Design & Engineering:

+ Develop flow charts detailing system hook-ups and layouts using company-specific icon libraries for visual representation.

+ Overlay new system designs on existing floor plans to ensure compatibility and accuracy.

Documentation & Presentation:

+ Generate and maintain technical documentation, including diagrams, specifications, and system narratives using specialized software tools.

+ Present and demonstrate design outputs to stakeholders or clients, providing clear explanations of technical processes and decisions.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred but not required based on equivalent experience).

+ 3+ years of experience in systems engineering or a similar role.

+ Strong attention to detail with excellent planning and organizational skills.

Must-Have Skills:

+ Proficiency in Visio for system flowcharts and floor plan overlays.

+ Expertise in DTools (Dealer Tools) for detailed system design and project scope management.

+ Familiarity with Crestron systems, including programming and layout design.

+ Experience providing white glove service/great customer service skills

Nice-to-Have (But Not Required) Skills:

+ Experience with CAD for advanced design and system schematics.

+ Knowledge of Microsoft Teams for collaboration and communication across departments.
