    Academy Fire Life Safety is seeking a Central Purchasing Specialist who can meet the low voltage needs for retail national accounts and multi-site clients. This position is responsible for Purchasing, Physical Inventory, Shipping and Tracking of orders.

    Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

    + Equipment purchases with multiple vendors

    + Shipping material using FedEx and/or UPS

    + Receiving shipments from FedEx and UPS and Freight

    + Staging Job materials and Service materials in appropriate locations

    + Maintaining a good working relationship with all Departments within Academy Fire.

    Requirements:

    + Experience in the Security/Fire Alarm Industry

    + Experience with equipment purchasing

    + Detail oriented, results driven, energetic personality

    + Proficient in Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook

    + High School Diploma or equivalent

    + Ability to multi-task

    + Must have reliable transportation

    + Must be able to endure hot and cold weather

    + Must be able to lift at least 50lbs

    + Great oral and written communication

    + Must have valid state issued Driver's License

    + Flexible to take on new challenges and responsibilities

     

    Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required. MVR checks are required for all driving positions.
