    Summary

    The Manager, Talent Acquisition is a strategic recruitment leader responsible for elevating Alameda Health System’s hiring outcomes through elite, high-touch healthcare recruitment. This role drives full-cycle recruitment excellence across all levels of healthcare searches and recruitment operations, with an emphasis on white-glove candidate and hiring leader experience, employer branding and outreach, recruiter performance management, and continuous innovation in process design. The Manager will champion best-in-class sourcing strategies, implement modern and high-impact recruitment practices, and foster a culture of accountability rooted in measurable results. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of launching successful and hard-to-fill searches, demonstrated percentage improvements to key recruitment metrics, and expertise in using data and performance insights to drive decision-making, process improvement, and team performance. They will build and maintain strong partnerships with leaders at all levels while amplifying AHS’s employer brand across healthcare talent markets and professional communities.

     

    This is a hybrid/remote position with an expectation of onsite presence at our Oakland office 3 days a week.

     

    **_DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS_** _: NOTE: Following are the duties performed by employees in this classification. However, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each individual in the classification._

    1. Develop recruitment advertising and branding campaigns for all levels of positions and create a market awareness of AHS as an employer of choice in the East Bay. Have an understanding of current recruitment trends in the marketplace, including social networking and mobile advertising.

    2. Refers an applicant pool from internal and external sources in accordance with AHS policy; assists department management in the selection process to include formulating salary recommendations, evaluating candidates and investigating references.

    3. Responsible for budget creation and management for all AHS recruitment activities.

    4. Sets goals, plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and evaluates the activities of the employment program of AHS.

    5. Supervises recruiters on all tactical employment activities; evaluates and makes recommendations to recruiters and/or designees in the effectiveness of various recruitment/employment activities.

    6. Works with the client department manager assisting with preparation of documentation for recruitment and employment, consistent with AHS policy; maintains an awareness of all employment issues that affect, or may potentially affect client departments, frequently communicating those to key stakeholders.

    7. Maintain a recruitment portfolio as needed, and support recruitment staff in searches as needed.

    8. Ensures all job requisitions for vacant positions are complete; reviews and screens applications; may conduct interviews; verifies licenses, checks references, and criminal background checks.

    9. Initiates the (recruiting) screening/referrals of qualified applicants to hiring departments.

    10. Assists in the selection process at the request of the department for vacant staff positions. Promotes compliance with the Joint Commission, Federal, State, and local regulatory agencies.

    11. Provides career counseling for health care employees and functions as a resource person to the staff; provides procedural information regarding job requirements and related matters.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Public Administration, Industrial Psychology or other related field.

    + Minimum Experience: Two years of people management/supervisory experience. Seven years of direct experience in recruitment.

     

    _Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying._

     

    _Pay Range: $76.92 - $91.34 / Hour_

     

    _The pay range for this position reflects the base pay scale for the role at Alameda Health System. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, departmental equity, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and the operational needs of the organization. Alameda Health System also offers eligible positions a generous comprehensive benefits program. Please note: Salary offers generally fall below the maximum of the range to ensure alignment with internal equity and compensation guidelines._
