Our client, a leading manufacturer in the textile industry, is seeking a Machine Operator to join their team. As a Machine Operator, you will be part of the production department supporting the assembly and sewing operations. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Job Title:** Machine Operator

**Location:** West Coxsackie, NY

**Pay Range:** $21.00/hr + Overtime

**Shift:** First Shift (6:00am - 2:30pm)

What's the Job?

+ Assemble panels and borders according to established work instructions using sewing machines such as double overcasters, brother quilters, and sergers

+ Sew borders to panel cloth, produce mattress and box spring borders and covers

+ Overcast edges of quilt border materials rolls to ensure durability

+ Operate sewing machines with foot lever and hand control, maintaining a steady workflow

+ Sort, fold, and stack covers, borders, or panels as needed, maintaining a clean and organized workstation

What's Needed?

+ Minimum of 18 years of age

+ High School diploma or equivalent (GED)

+ Prior sewing or textile industry experience utilizing related machines

+ Ability to read/use a ruler, perform basic addition/subtraction, and calculate fractions

+ Ability to perform minor maintenance on machines including re-threading and replacing needles
