What You’ll Do
+ Lead installation, configuration, and service of fire alarm systems across large-scale commercial projects.
+ Program, start-up, troubleshoot, and commission new systems.
+ Read blueprints and design documents to ensure accurate installations.
+ Supervise and mentor a team of 2–4 technicians onsite.
+ Perform inspections and ensure systems meet code requirements.
+ Communicate clearly with project leads and clients on progress and challenges.
+ Respond to emergency service calls and participate in rotating on-call schedules.
+ Maintain detailed project documentation and reports.
Must-Have Skills
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with fire alarms, structured cabling, conduit, or nurse call systems
• Proven leadership in commercial environments
• Ability to read blueprints and work independently
• Own tools (punch, snips, scissors) and reliable transportation
• Strong troubleshooting and installation skills
• Comfortable working on ladders and lifts
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)
+ Experience with CCTV, access control, and intercom systems
+ Familiarity with Honeywell systems and Cat6 cabling
+ Strong computer and communication skills

Work Environment
You’ll work on large-scale commercial projects throughout the greater Nashville area, including new construction and existing facilities. Shift times may vary based on project needs, and on-call rotation is required.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smyrna, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
