Overview: LRS Consulting Services is seeking a Technical Lead for our client in Southlake, TX or New York, NY. This is a hands-on leadership role within a fast-paced fintech environment, ideal for someone who combines technical depth, architectural thinking, and a strong sense of ownership. The Technical Lead will oversee one of several product verticals, providing technical direction, mentorship, and accountability for end-to-end delivery.
You’ll collaborate with Product Management, QA, and Support to ensure that each release meets high standards for scalability, security, and performance — and that your team moves quickly without sacrificing quality.
Responsibilities:
+ Lead a product engineering team responsible for full-stack development in Angular, .NET Core, and Azure.
+ Drive design and architecture discussions, ensuring scalable and secure solutions that align with business goals.
+ Participate in hands-on coding, peer reviews, and technical problem-solving.
+ Partner with Product Management to define technical scope, priorities, and timelines.
+ Oversee cloud-based deployments and integrations within Azure (App Services, Functions, Service Bus, Key Vault, Azure SQL).
+ Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and Support to ensure reliable and high-performing releases.
+ Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within your vertical.
+ Mentor and coach developers, promoting engineering best practices and professional growth.
+ Encourage business-aware development — understanding the “why” behind every feature to deliver real value.
+ Leverage AI-assisted development tools (such as GitHub Copilot) to enhance productivity and accelerate delivery.
Required Skills & Experience:
+ 7+ years of full-stack engineering experience with .NET Core, C#, Angular (v13 or higher), and TypeScript.
+ Proven experience leading or technically directing a small to mid-sized development team.
+ Strong understanding of Azure cloud services (App Services, Functions, Key Vault, Service Bus, Azure SQL).
+ Expertise in building scalable SaaS applications and optimizing performance in cloud environments.
+ Deep understanding of SQL performance tuning and data modeling in Azure SQL.
+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to bridge technical and business conversations.
+ Strong sense of ownership — self-directed, accountable, and comfortable in fast-moving fintech environments.
+ Business-savvy mindset: capable of understanding domain logic and aligning technical decisions with product goals.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience working in fintech or other transaction-heavy, high-availability systems.
+ Exposure to AI/ML integration or development tooling.
+ Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
+ Knowledge of software security best practices.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Work Environment:
+ Hybrid schedule based in Southlake, TX — onsite Monday through Thursday, work-from-home Fridays.
+ Occasional travel may be required for collaboration with remote teams (U.S. and international).
Compensation: Competitive compensation aligned with experience and skill level.
Additional Information:
+ Third-party candidates will not be considered.
+ Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the U.S.; sponsorship is not available.
The base range for this contract position is $70 - $100 per hour, depending on experience.
