The Product Support Engineer serves as the product expert for flow meters, instrumentation, and cloud-connected products and platforms. This role provides North American distributors, OEMs, and end users with exceptional technical support, with a strong understanding of customer applications. The position requires maintaining current, in-depth product knowledge to effectively guide troubleshooting and resolve technical issues. Responsibilities include recommending products, utilizing pricing tools, and assisting with requests for quotes. Strong communication skills are essential across email, phone, and video.
Responsibilities
+ Understand customer applications and flow measurement/management needs to recommend optimal product solutions or identify and correct setup issues.
+ Assist with commissioning new equipment and provide technical support via phone, email, and video conferencing.
+ Initiate warranty/return claims and guide live installation/setup assistance.
+ Assist sales with customer inquiries, gather application requirements, select solutions, and provide accurate pricing and lead time information.
+ Support the development and maintenance of internal and external training tools.
+ Conduct daily functions using company processes and tools, recommending efficiency improvements. Maintain current work instructions for the role.
+ Collaborate to provide new content and maintain existing product information for reference.
+ Provide systems-level understanding of how flow meters integrate into customer applications (e.g., PLCs, SCADA, control loops). Identify root causes and propose practical solutions.
+ Deliver world-class service and support to channel partners, customers, and end users. Communicate clearly and promptly regarding sales opportunities, product questions, and performance issues.
+ Document and highlight critical information gathered from distributor, OEM, and end user interactions to support business strategy and product development.
+ Prioritize daily tasks, customer requests, and business projects. Maintain a well-organized work environment.
+ Demonstrate a desire for continuous learning and development as business needs evolve and product portfolio expands. May involve attending trade shows, visiting distributors, and training team members.
+ Comfortable working with digital tools to conduct daily tasks. Utilize contact center software for communication. May include administrator responsibilities for management software.
+ Collaborate with co-workers and other departments, providing backup assistance as needed.
+ Follow company policies and posted work rules.
Essential Skills
+ Seeking an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
+ Previous engineering or application support role with flow meter and/or fluid management, or similar industrial products.
+ Engineering degree or currently pursuing, or equivalent product/industry experience.
+ Familiarity with industrial distribution channels.
+ Strong computer skills, including experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Mechanical and electrical aptitude and willingness to learn specific product applications.
+ Excellent customer service skills.
+ Time management skills to balance changing priorities.
+ Positive attitude during peak customer demand.
+ Must be at least 18 years of age with technical experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with or strong technical understanding of flow meter applications.
+ Experience with or strong technical understanding of fuel transfer management systems.
+ 1–2 years of ERP system experience.
Work Environment
This position is primarily based in an office environment, often sitting for extended periods while using a computer. The role may require lifting up to 20 lbs. The office is temperature-controlled, and occasional visits to manufacturing, warehouse, or shipping areas may necessitate wearing closed-toe shoes and safety glasses.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr.
