Description
We are looking for an experienced Part-Time Project Controller to join our team in Albemarle, North Carolina. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to both daily operations and strategic financial oversight for a well-established company. As a long-term contract position, you will work onsite 2-3 days per week, focusing on managing key accounting functions and supporting decision-making processes.
Responsibilities:
• Perform daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with budgeting to ensure accurate forecasting.
• Monitor cash flow and maintain strong relationships with banking partners.
• Oversee inventory accounting processes for propane operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Manage lease accounting and reporting for the company’s commercial real estate portfolio.
• Collaborate on tax preparation and audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Provide valuable financial insights to support executive decision-making and strategic planning.
• Supervise and coordinate with the existing accounting and administrative team, consisting of 3-4 staff members.
• Address backlog tasks and implement process improvements to streamline operations.
Requirements • A minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in commercial services or real estate.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems, with familiarity in similar tools, and advanced Excel skills.
• Prior experience in inventory and lease accounting is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to think strategically and solve complex financial challenges.
• A degree in accounting, finance, or business is preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills to coordinate with diverse teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
• Experience working in a collaborative environment with a focus on delivering results.
