RGP is seeking an SEC Reporting Consultant to support our clients in navigating complex external reporting requirements and financial statement preparation. This role combines technical accounting expertise, financial reporting acumen, and project management skills to deliver timely and accurate SEC filings while ensuring compliance with U. . GAAP and regulatory standards. Our consultants leverage their diverse experience across industries to help clients drive reporting excellence and organizational efficiency.
+ Prepare and review quarterly and annual SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, and other regulatory submissions
+ Draft and analyze financial statement disclosures, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with SEC and GAAP requirements
+ Partner with accounting, finance, and legal teams to coordinate external reporting timelines, data gathering, and audit support
+ Research and interpret new accounting pronouncements and SEC regulations, preparing technical memos and policy documentation as needed
+ Support the development and implementation of improved reporting processes, controls, and automation tools
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform gap analyses and recommend solutions that strengthen reporting efficiency and compliance
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred
+ 8+ years of experience in SEC reporting and/or technical accounting, ideally within a public company or Big Four environment
+ Deep understanding of U. . GAAP, SEC rules and regulations, and financial disclosure requirements
+ Proven ability to draft and review complex financial statements and disclosures with precision
+ Strong project management and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and manage competing priorities
+ Experience with reporting systems and tools (e. . , Workiva, Hyperion, or Oracle FCCS) a plus
+ Variety of workplace arrangements including hybrid, remote, onsite.
