Our client is seeking a Network/Systems Engineer to join our dynamic IT operations team. What You’ll Do

As a Systems Administrator III, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and optimizing CoBank’s network and systems infrastructure. You’ll work across teams to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performing systems, with a focus on Cisco networking, firewall management, and disaster recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Configure, maintain, and upgrade Cisco IOS-based infrastructure (Catalyst/Nexus switches).

+ Administer Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco ASA VPN solutions.

+ Monitor network performance and respond to alerts to ensure uptime and data integrity.

+ Perform system backups and recovery using tools like Zerto.

+ Apply patches and deploy software upgrades to maintain security and performance.

+ Troubleshoot network and system issues, escalating when needed to minimize downtime.

+ Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to enforce compliance and best practices.

+ Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, procedures, and standards.

+ Follow change management processes and handle ticketing workflows.

What You Bring

Required Skills & Experience:

+ 5+ years of experience in network and systems administration.

+ Strong hands-on experience with Cisco IOS (Catalyst/Nexus).

+ Deep understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).

+ Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco ASA VPNs.

+ Familiarity with backup/recovery tools (e.g., Zerto) and patch management.

+ Knowledge of monitoring tools and change management processes.

+ Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Denver, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $51.00 - $74.00/hr.
