CTG is seeking to fill a Project Manager IV opening for our client in Buffalo, NY.
**Location:** Buffalo, NY
**Duration:** 6 months
Overview:
The Project Manager IV manages high-priority projects impacting three or more business or functional areas or highly complex projects affecting multiple divisions. This role is responsible for managing project scope, schedule, and costs through appropriate verification and change management techniques, ensuring that the project plan remains accurate, up to date, and aligned with authorized changes and customer expectations.
Primary Responsibilities:
+ Lead and direct high-priority or highly complex projects requiring significant cross-functional integration and resources, from initiation through closure.
+ Develop project plans, forecasts, and schedules, collaborating with stakeholders to document detailed requirements, constraints, and assumptions.
+ Ensure project plans include work breakdown structures, organization charts, budgets, communication, risk, quality, and resource management plans.
+ Communicate project objectives, expectations, and updates to all stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
+ Manage project execution according to plan, maintaining budget and timeline control.
+ Measure project performance using appropriate tools and methodologies to track progress, identify variances, and implement corrective actions.
+ Mitigate project risks through proactive identification and execution of approved actions or workarounds.
+ Build and lead cohesive teams by providing mentoring, training, and motivation to ensure high performance and collaboration.
+ Coordinate team activities effectively by understanding system scope, project objectives, and individual responsibilities.
+ Ensure adherence to company risk, regulatory, and internal control standards, escalating issues as necessary.
+ Foster a diverse and inclusive environment that reflects the organization’s values and brand.
+ Complete other related duties as assigned.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Manages projects with broad impact across multiple business areas or functions, often with high complexity, visibility, and strategic significance.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:
Manages a team of professionals, including staffing, performance management, budget oversight, and planning responsibilities.
Education and Experience Required:
+ Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6 years of proven project management experience; **OR**
+ In lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 10 years of higher education and/or relevant work experience, including at least 6 years of project management experience.
+ Proficiency with personal computers and relevant project management software packages.
Education and Experience Preferred:
+ Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
+ Experience managing large-scale or enterprise-level technology and business projects in a financial or regulated environment.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
