Job Overview
Lake City Care Center TCU/LTC is offering a paid **Nurse Internship** from May 18-19 and May 26-Aug 7, 2026 for nursing students graduating with an ADN, BSN, Entry Level masters RN degree between Dec. 2026- Sept. 2027. Come immerse yourself in the growing field of aging services and Transitonal Care and gain valuable RN skills. This position will be working 12 hour, day shifts (6:30 am-7:00pm) 56-64 hours (4-5 shifts) in two weeks, M-F and one weekend during the summer will be required.
Lake City Care Center is nestled near picturesque Lake Pepin in Southeast Minnesota. Our skilled nursing facility can provide care for up to 90 residents across the Transitional and Long term care units (12 TCU, 52 LTC) Supported by a dedicated team committed to Ebenezer's mission of fostering longer, healthier, and more meaningful lives through healing, discovery, and education.
Our Ebenezer **2026 Nurse Internship** program provides an individualized educational experience in TCU/LTC, caring for adults patients of all ages whom are admitted directly to Ebenezer from a hospital. The intern program is tailored to meet your nursing career goal and you will be mentored one-on-one with registered nurses to gain hands-on nursing experience. Our program provides opportunities to enhance your technical, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills in a skilled nursing setting. In addition to learning RN skills, our intern will observe other nursing roles and interdisciplinary team members. Gain confidence in providing patient cares and earn preferential status for employment as RN with Ebenezer, upon graduation.
There will be opportunities to move into a casual/part-time schedule as an resident or nursing assistant with Ebenezer, while you complete your nursing degree.

Nurse Intern responsibilities
+ Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.
+ Develops an individualized nursing plan of care.
+ Manages Medications and performs treatments
+ Implements nursing interventions based on the plan of care.
+ Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes.
+ Uses effective education and communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes.
+ Admissions and Discharges
Required Qualifications
+ Strong desire to become a RN with Ebenezer (any location) upon graduation
+ Currently enrolled in a ADN, BSN, Entry level masters RN program and graduating between Dec 2026- Sept 2027
+ Enroll, complete, and pass an summer 2026 internship course at a Minnesota based school of nursing
+ Complete one nursing clinical rotation by start date of nurse internship
+ Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross) Upon Hire
+ Able to work with a diverse population of patients and coworkers including subacute/geriatric
Preferred Qualifications
+ GPA of 3.0 or higher
+ work experience in healthcare/senior care setting
