Our client is currently seeking a qualified **Field Service Technician** to join their team in Springfield, MA and provide end-user support.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments, demonstrates strong communication and customer service skills, and is dedicated to delivering efficient IT support with professionalism and accuracy. This position will require the technician to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues while maintaining accurate documentation and communication throughout each task. Candidates should be proactive, organized, and able to make sound decisions in the field to ensure seamless client operations.
Duties and Responsibilities** **:
+ Provide hands-on technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT hardware
+ Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems, network connectivity, and POS systems
+ Perform hardware installations, upgrades, imaging, and device configuration
+ Manage service requests and update ticketing systems with detailed notes and resolutions
+ Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a professional presence while working in-store environments
+ Document and monitor issues, ensuring timely and effective follow-up
+ Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicle to company standards
+ Communicate effectively with clients, management, and peers to ensure successful project completion
Skills and Qualifications** **:
+ Minimum 2+ years of IT technical support experience (desktop, hardware, or field service preferred)
+ Familiarity with troubleshooting Windows operating systems, POS systems, printers, and networking equipment
+ Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
+ Ability to work independently and complete projects ahead of schedule
+ Must be comfortable traveling locally to multiple store locations (transportation provided)
**Wage Range** :
The rate for this position is between **$18.00 - $23.00 per hour.** Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
