    Job Details:

    The Manager, Operating Room & PACU, provides leadership and oversight for all day-to-day operations in the Operating Room and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit. This role ensures safe, efficient surgical care and optimal patient throughput by managing staffing, scheduling, and coordination among surgeons, anesthesia, and nursing teams.

    Responsibilities:

    + Oversee daily operations of the OR and PACU, ensuring patient safety, quality care, and efficient case flow.

    + Manage staffing assignments, scheduling, and workload distribution to meet operational needs.

    + Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and nursing teams to optimize patient throughput and resource utilization.

    + Ensure compliance with hospital policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.

    + Monitor performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement operational enhancements.

    + Support professional development and training of OR and PACU staff.

    + Participate in quality improvement initiatives, infection control, and patient safety programs.

    Experience:

    + Minimum of 5 years peri-procedural or perioperative nursing experience or a combination of critical care experience, with at least 2 years in a progressive leadership role.

    Education:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required;Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.

    Licenses/Certifications:

    + Current RN license in New York State.

    + Certification in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR) preferred.

    Other:

    + Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage budgets, and drive operational improvements.

    + Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
