Job Summary
The LAN Support Technician, Associate provides technical support for desktop hardware, software, and networking systems across corporate and facility environments. This role assists with system installations, troubleshooting, user access, and routine maintenance. The LAN Support Technician, Associate collaborates with IT teams to resolve incidents, support end users, and ensure systems function reliably and efficiently.
Essential Functions
+ Provides support for installation, configuration, and usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment, and software.
+ Assists with deskside and remote support for hardware, software, network, server, and mobile device issues.
+ Documents service requests and resolutions in the IT ticketing system.
+ Performs basic troubleshooting and corrective actions to restore functionality and minimize downtime.
+ Assists with user account creation, access permissions, and application security assignments.
+ Supports system maintenance tasks and updates procedural documentation as needed.
+ Ensures desktop systems connect appropriately with networks, servers, and related infrastructure.
+ Collaborates with procurement and IT teams to assist in hardware and software purchases.
+ Participates in on-call rotation as required.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
+ Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
+ Complies with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
+ H.S. Diploma or GED required
+ Associate Degree in Information Technology or related field preferred
+ 0-1 years of experience in desktop or LAN support required
+ Experience with enterprise IT systems and help desk ticketing tools preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office Suite, and networking fundamentals.
+ Strong customer service and communication skills.
+ Ability to follow instructions and troubleshoot routine technical issues.
+ Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
+ Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
