    **Morton Plant Hospital, a part of BayCare Health System** , is seeking a dedicated and skilled **Occupational Therapist** to join our acute care team. This role focuses on evaluating and treating patients with physical, cognitive, and psychosocial impairments resulting from illness, injury, or surgery. The therapist will work in a fast-paced hospital environment, helping patients regain independence in daily living activities and facilitating safe discharge planning.

    Acute Care Occupational Therapist Responsibilities:

    + Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ functional abilities and limitations.

    + Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve ADLs, mobility, and safety.

    + Provide therapeutic interventions including neuromuscular re-education, therapeutic exercise, and adaptive equipment training.

    + Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and case managers.

    + Document patient progress and treatment outcomes in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.

    + Educate patients and caregivers on techniques to improve independence and safety at home.

    + Participate in discharge planning and recommend appropriate follow-up services.

    Requirements:

    + BLS (Basic Life Support)

    + OT (Occupational Therapy)

    + Or OT (Occupational Therapy) Eligible to obtain

    + Required Bachelor's Occupational Therapy

    + Preferred 1-year Occupational Therapy
