The Department of Visual & Performing Arts (art.sage.edu) at Russell Sage College (sage.edu) seeks applications for teaching positions in our NASAD-accredited Expressive Arts in Mental Health (BS) program, course title: Art Therapy Communication. Ideal candidates will have their NY Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT), diverse clinical experience, and previous teaching experience.
Accredited since 1978 by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD), Russell Sage College offers numerous creative degrees in visual and performing arts including Art + Extended Media (BFA), Interior + Spatial Design (BFA), Graphic + Media Design (BFA), Expressive Arts in Mental Health (BS), Musical Theatre (BS), and Theatre (BA).
Adjunct compensation is currently $1000 per credit hour (depending on staffing needs and enrollment).
Job Requirements:
Master's degree in Art Therapy, Registration or Board Certification (ATR or ATR-BC) by the American Art Therapy Association, NY state licensure as LCAT (Licensed Creative Arts Therapist) or LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor). Ideal candidates will be a NY Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT), have college-level teaching experience, and a diverse clinical background.
