The Administrator Radiology and Medical Imaging is responsible for the leadership and strategic oversight of the operational financial and clinical outcomes of the Radiology Service Line within the University of Virginia Health System. Along with the Service Line Physician Leader this position completes the dyad responsible for all service line outcomes. The Administrator Radiology and Medical Imaging collaborates with leadership to fulfill the mission of the UVA Health System; which is to provide the highest quality of care to patients. This position serves as a visible champion of efficiency quality and patient safety for their assigned service line. The Administrator Radiology and Medical Imaging is responsible for creating institutional standards of performance and ensuring proper resourcing of strategic and tactical plans to meet or exceed the standards. The Administrator Radiology and Medical Imaging is expected to work collaboratively with the Health System’s executive and physician leadership to support and participate in Health System-wide initiatives.

+ Leads operations for designated service line to include setting and achieving service line goals and objectives across the four quadrants and leading the resolution of key operational issues.

+ Manages the performance of staff and resources of multiple inpatient outpatient and procedural areas promoting teamwork between/among all clinical areas within the service line.

+ Identifies strategic opportunities for growth.

+ Partners with administrative and clinical leaders to develop appropriate measures with proper benchmarks that will be tracked and reported to improve care and operations.

+ Cooperates with clinicians departments and medical school to provide environment for education and research.

+ Works with Facilities and Maintenance staff to address needs of clinical sites for renovation repair new construction and space allocation.

+ Works collaboratively with nursing leadership to ensure adherence to nursing practice standards as well as key initiatives.

+ Ensures compliance with Medical Center University State and federal policies for all areas such as privacy confidentiality billing etc.

+ Serves as a role model for the corporate and cultural values of the Health System.

+ In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree must be obtained within 4 years of hire or transfer.

Experience: 7 to 10 years of progressive management experience within a Healthcare organization demonstrating leadership strategic thinking and responsibility for operations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.

Position Compensation Range: $120,507.00 - $241,014.00 Annual
