    Overview

    **Position:** Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant – Outpatient Orthopedics & Aquatics

    **Location:** NovaCare Rehabilitation – Frederick, Maryland

    **Schedule:** Part-Time | Late Afternoons & Evenings (2:00 PM – 7:00 PM)

    **Compensation:** $55.00/hour

Our team of dedicated clinicians is passionate about providing innovative, life-changing care, and we’re excited to welcome a new **Licensed Part-Time Physical Therapist Assistant** to our aquatics program.

    About the Role:

    We are seeking a **Licensed Part-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)** to join our team, primarily treating patients in our **aquatic therapy program** , with occasional orthopedic caseloads. This role is ideal for a clinician with prior aquatics experience. We are also open to **new graduate PTAs** who have completed an aquatics rotation and are eager to grow in this specialty.

    Schedule:

    + 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM

    + 2–3 days per week (negotiable)

    Responsibilities

    + Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.

    + Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures

    + Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.

    Qualifications

    + College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program

    + Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE

    + Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)

    + CPR certification
