About the Role
Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES is seeking an experienced and strategic professional to develop, coordinate and expand Early College High School (ECHS) programming as part of a newly developed state-funded CoSer. This role is focused on program design, cross-agency collaboration, and operational management (not direct student services). While experience as a teacher or counselor is highly valued, this position primarily supports districts, colleges, and partners behind the scenes to ensure strong systems and outcomes for students.
The successful candidate will have proven experience implementing new initiatives, managing stakeholder expectations, and delivering results. Strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and the ability to lead through ambiguity are essential.
Key Responsibilities
+ Program Development & Implementation: Lead the planning, rollout, and evaluation of Early College programs in collaboration with districts, higher education institutions, and workforce partners.
+ Stakeholder & Partnership Management: Build and maintain strong working relationships with school leaders, higher ed institutions, NYSED, and workforce organizations. Navigate varied expectations and align stakeholders toward shared goals.
+ Operational Leadership: Oversee program logistics, including budgeting, scheduling, data collection, grant compliance, and reporting
+ Project Management: Coordinate the successful execution of complex projects across multiple teams and timelines. Anticipate challenges, manage competing priorities, and ensure timely follow-through.
+ System Design & Support: Work with district teams to align curriculum, credentials, and support systems for dual enrollment and early college pathways.
+ Equity & Impact: Support inclusive practices across programs and use data to monitor participation and outcomes.
+ Professional Development: Design and deliver training, resources, and consultative support to school personnel involved in Early College programming.
+ Project Management & Organization: This position requires exceptional organizational skills and a disciplined approach to project management. The ideal candidate will be skilled at developing and maintaining clear documentation, timelines, action plans, and progress tracking across multiple initiatives.
Job Qualifications
Required:
+ NYS Teacher or School Counselor Certification
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience working with high school students or in a student services capacity
+ Proven experience leading or coordinating the successful implementation of a new program, initiative, or CoSer
+ Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills
+ High emotional intelligence and ability to navigate complex relationships with diplomacy and clarity
+ Valid NYS Driver’s License and willingness to travel regionally
Preferred:
+ Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Leadership
+ Experience working in or with community colleges
+ Deep understanding of New York State high school graduation requirements and pathways
