As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing phases of large complex projects or managing multiple medium-sized projects, ensuring their success from proposal to completion. Our projects range from transmission lines and substations to renewable energy initiatives, and we pride ourselves on improving lives through our work.
Responsibilities
+ Manage phases of large complex projects or multiple medium-sized projects with budgets ranging from $500K to $10M.
+ Oversee all aspects of project success, including proposal/bidding, client satisfaction, and profitable completion.
+ Emphasize safety performance throughout all project stages.
+ Own financials, schedules, resources, procurement/materials, budgets, change orders, contracts, and subcontractors.
+ Travel to job sites 1-2 weeks per month to provide in-field support, particularly for substation projects.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years of project management experience in construction.
+ Experience with renewables (battery, wind, solar), power generation, substations, transmission lines, or large industrial builds.
+ Construction degree with internship or 1+ years of field engineering/APM experience.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with job cost tracking and estimating software is a plus.
+ Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to travel and commit to long-term onsite project assignments.
+ A willingness to learn and embrace evolving responsibilities and technical challenges.
+ Experience with general contractors (GC) or engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firms is highly preferred.
Work Environment
The role involves working on-site for new substation builds 1-2 weeks per month, with travel to project sites in TX, OH, and OK. When not traveling, you will work from home. Projects typically last 6-9 months, and the team includes APMs, Construction Managers, Safety personnel, and Superintendents. We self-perform electrical and foundation work, owning all materials outside of transformers/circuits. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brownsville, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $80.00/hr.
