Job Title: Lab Technician
Job Description
The Lab Technician will conduct standard and advanced analytical techniques, including bench titration, pH testing, specific gravity measurements, and small bench non-volatile and residue testing. The role involves starting the GC process, with samples sent to a different location for completion. All testing involves non-hazardous materials.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct standard and advanced analytical techniques, including bench titration, pH testing, specific gravity, small bench, non-volatile, and residue testing.
+ Initiate the GC process and prepare samples for external testing.
+ Bring in products and conduct inbound receipts, documenting information into the internal system.
+ Confirm material compliance with prescribed specifications.
+ Maintain equipment logs and ensure proper functioning.
+ Follow SOPs and assist in developing additional methods.
+ Review and update documents such as procedures and batch instructions.
+ Provide assessment and disposition of quarantine product.
+ Assist with providing certificates of analysis for customer shipments.
+ Complete monthly quality checks for quality, GMP, and safety-related programs.
+ Assist with the creation of customer-specific labels for product deliveries.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or chemical engineering; an associate's degree in a science-related field will be considered.
+ Experience with Microsoft skills, especially Microsoft Access.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
