    Description We are looking for a skilled Software Developer to join our team in Okemos, Michigan. This role requires expertise in managing Linux servers, developing applications, and ensuring system security. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of various programming languages and technologies to support our infrastructure and application needs.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage and maintain over 150 Linux servers, ensuring their optimal performance and security.

    • Develop and enhance applications using frameworks similar to Symfony, while adhering to industry standards.

    • Conduct system reviews to identify potential intrusions, latency issues, and other operational challenges.

    • Utilize Digital Ocean interfaces, APIs, and infrastructure effectively to support development and deployment.

    • Implement and uphold data security best practices to safeguard sensitive information.

    • Develop solutions that align with the broader system architecture, incorporating async PHP and background tasks.

    • Work with templating engines and formats to create efficient and scalable applications.

    • Utilize GitLab/GitHub for version control and collaborative development processes.

    • Operate within a development environment using tools like PHPStorm and Ubuntu Desktop.

    • Leverage technologies such as MariaDB/MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and Ubuntu/Linux to optimize system functionality. Requirements • Proficiency in programming languages including .NET, C#, ASP.NET, PHP, and JavaScript.

    • Strong understanding of PHP development, including integration with MySQL databases.

    • Experience working with MongoDB, Redis, and other database technologies.

    • Familiarity with Ubuntu/Linux environments and terminal commands.

    • Knowledge of GitLab/GitHub for code management and collaboration.

    • Ability to adapt to and work within Symfony-like frameworks.

    • Solid grasp of asynchronous PHP, event loops, and forked processes in web applications.
