Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a pivotal role in performing predictive and preventive maintenance to prevent equipment failures. You will carry out specialized technical tasks to support operations, focusing on maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical systems. Your expertise will contribute to improving equipment availability and capability, ensuring smooth operations.
Responsibilities
+ Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems, including mechanical and electrical.
+ Evaluate and recommend equipment improvements to enhance availability and yield.
+ Conduct equipment failure analyses and perform both preventive and unscheduled maintenance.
+ Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems effectively.
+ Prepare technical reports documenting equipment modifications and maintenance procedures.
+ Prepare for new or relocated equipment installations, ensuring compliance with requirements.
+ Receive, rig, unload, transport, install, assemble, troubleshoot, and fine-tune new or relocated equipment.
+ Assist engineers in identifying worn or damaged parts required for repairs.
+ Interface and assist outside contractors, OEMs, and Technology Process Support groups in installing new and repairing or upgrading existing processes.
+ Safely handle hazardous materials and wastes.
+ Interface with the in-plant Computerized Machine Maintenance System to document work status and time spent.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and maintenance.
+ Experience with mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics systems.
+ Ability to perform preventive maintenance and repairs.
+ Skilled in PLC troubleshooting and industrial maintenance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Basic math skills.
+ Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, work orders, schematics, and blueprints.
+ Proficiency with personal computers and software, such as SAP MII.
+ Ability to comprehend schematics and utilize Multi-Meter & Ammeter.
+ Knowledge of 3-phase and single-phase motor control, PLC & Ladder Logic programming and understanding.
+ Skills in soldering, mechanical, power tool usage, welding (Arc and/or TIG), pipe fitting, soldering/threading, and power transmission applications.
+ Familiarity with pneumatics and hydraulics.
+ Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
+ Experience in applying analytical/scientific methods and operational processes.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bedford, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
