Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our healthcare team in Marshall, Michigan. This role offers an opportunity to manage essential accounting tasks and contribute to the financial accuracy and integrity of the organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in corporate tax, general ledger management, and financial reconciliation.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review corporate tax returns to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

• Manage sales tax filings and maintain accurate records for reporting purposes.

• Record and reconcile journal entries to maintain the integrity of the general ledger.

• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.

• Oversee accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and payment tracking.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data and prepare reports.

• Maintain accurate balance sheets and ensure proper cash postings.

• Collaborate with internal teams to support financial audits and reporting requirements.

• Monitor and manage financial transactions to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

• Contribute to the development of efficient accounting procedures and practices. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Proven experience in corporate tax preparation and sales tax management.

• Strong knowledge of general ledger processes and journal entry recording.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation and financial reporting.

• Familiarity with accounts receivable workflows and cash posting procedures.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Ability to maintain accurate financial records and balance sheets.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills for teamwork and reporting.
