Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Lee, Massachusetts. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in financial operations and reporting within the manufacturing industry. As an integral part of the team, you will oversee daily accounting functions, support month-end processes, and contribute to financial planning and analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processes.

• Lead and execute month-end close activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

• Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial data.

• Develop and present financial reports that provide insights into business performance.

• Collaborate on budgeting and forecasting efforts, offering analytical support for projections.

• Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses to assist with strategic decision-making.

• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills to streamline processes and enhance reporting accuracy.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

• Work closely with other departments to provide financial guidance and support.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements within accounting operations. Requirements • Proven experience in accounting management, preferably within the manufacturing industry.

• Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and financial reporting.

• Expertise in preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis.

• Ability to analyze financial data and deliver meaningful insights.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting processes and tools.
