Description

Payroll Manager opportunity available with well-respected LI service company. This role will have you responsible for processing weekly, multi-state, certified payroll with the support of a terrific team, with a company that offers a generous compensation and benefits package.

Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing & operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing for 200+ employees.

• Oversee multi-state payroll and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

• Administer prevailing wage and certified payroll processes, maintaining proper union documentation and reporting.

• Ensure accurate calculation and reporting of payroll taxes and deductions.

• Prepare and distribute W-2 forms and other year-end payroll documentation.

• Lead and mentor the payroll team, fostering growth and efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with all payroll-related laws and regulations, including tax filings and reporting.

• Collaborate with internal departments to address payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in payroll management, including full-cycle payroll.

• Proven expertise in handling multi-state payroll operations.

• Familiarity with prevailing wage and certified payroll processes.

• Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.

• Experience working with union payroll systems and agreements.

• Proficiency in managing payroll for mid-sized teams ranging from 101-500 employees.

• Solid understanding of payroll tools and systems, within an in-house processing environment.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills with a focus on team development.
