Position Description:
We are seeking a proficient Systems Engineer to oversee the provisioning, operation, installation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure. This key role involves providing technical support and guidance in the planning, implementation, and ongoing operation of databases, ensuring adherence to organizational values and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Oracle and SQL Server database administration, with a strong background in system documentation, performance tuning, and security practices. This position is located in USA VA Fort Belvoir -- USAVAFOR1.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Responsible for effective provisioning, operation, installation/configuration, and maintenance of systems
hardware/software/related infrastructure. Provide technical support, guidance and hands-on delivery in the planning,
implementation, and ongoing operation of databases. The Systems Engineer shall participate in technical research
and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. Ensure that system hardware, operating
systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values and regulatory requirements. The
Systems Engineer shall document specifications, project plans, configurations, test plans and results. Depicts
complex ideas, issues, and designs to varied audiences; communicates project objectives, scope, and status to project
teams
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Minimum Experience:
. Five (5) years of overall professional experience in the engineering field.
. Five (5) years' experience in Oracle and/or SQL Server database administration and analysis
support. Proposed Oracle systems engineer personnel shall be fully trained and experienced with the
Windows and HP Unix operating systems (Windows Server 2016 / HP-UX 11.3.x), Oracle Database
11g database technology, supporting DoD or Federal Oracle shared service providers on an Oracle
EBS R12.2 platform or higher, PL/SQL programming, Oracle stored procedures, database
performance tuning, E-R database design principles and methodology, backup and recovery, systems
analysis, security practices and system documentation. Proposed SQL systems engineer personnel
shall be fully trained, and industry recognized Microsoft Certified personnel experienced and
familiar with both Windows 2016 and operating systems, SQL Server 2012 database administration,
T-SQL programming, database performance tuning, backup and recovery, systems analysis, security
practices and system documentation.

o Sensitivity Level: Non-critical Sensitive
o Type of Investigation: Current Tier 3 (T3) or National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and
Credit Check (NACLC) at time of proposal submission.
. DoD 8570.01-M Certification: DFARS 252.239-7001 Information Assurance Contractor Training and
Certification is required for this position.
o IA Technical (IAT)/IA Management (IAM) Level: IAT Level II
o IA Baseline Certification: Attachment_3_DOD 8570 Approved Baseline

o CE/OS Certificate: Attachment_4_DLA Approved CS CE List_v28_20230221. Certification must be
applicable to the Oracle based DAI Application Environment
o Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $113,400.00 - $245,500.00.
