Job Description

As a Laser Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and running an Amada 9000 laser, overseeing the entire process. You will also assist in other areas such as operating a forklift, plasma cutting, and loading and unloading parts. Your role will involve working with carbon steel and some stainless steel to build bulk storage tanks, industrial blenders, and mixers.

Responsibilities

+ Set up and operate an Amada 9000 laser.

+ Assist in forklift operations and plasma cutting.

+ Load and unload parts as required.

+ Float throughout the facility to assist in various tasks.

+ Work with carbon and stainless steel materials.

+ Fabricate components for bulk storage tanks and industrial mixers.

+ Read and interpret blueprints.

+ Perform inspections using calipers and other measuring tools.

+ Operate CNC machines and other shop equipment.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in laser and machine operation.

+ Proficiency in using a press brake and forklift.

+ Blueprint reading capabilities.

+ Knowledge of carbon steel and sheet metal fabrication.

+ Ability to frequently lift, push, and slide packages up to 75 pounds.

+ Attention to detail and good time management skills.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Belle Plaine, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $33.00/hr.
