Description: CiTi BOCES is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Special Education Teacher to join the CTE Advantage Program. The program fosters student success by promoting high school graduation, career readiness, and personal development through purposeful instruction and authentic learning opportunities. The successful candidate will work closely with students, support staff, and academic teachers to help each learner achieve success.

Responsibilities:

+ Providing Direct Consultant Teaching (DCT) services within the CTE Advantage Program

+ Teach & support students directly

+ Adapt & differentiate instruction and materials

+ Implement students’ IEP/504

+ Advocate & communicate with related stakeholders

+ Support student progress in academic, career-readiness, and transition goals

+ Monitor & maintain IEPs and 504 plans in accordance with NYS regulations

+ Collaborate closely with CTE Advantage & CTE program teachers to plan instruction, provide student support, and share feedback to enhance learning outcomes

+ Communicate regularly with component district CSE chairs, counselors, and instructional teams

+ *Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

+ NYS Certification in Students with Disabilities (7–12) or equivalent required

+ Experience supporting high school students in alternative, special education, or transition-based programs preferred

+ Strong skills in collaboration, communication, and organization
