The National Air Logistics Aerospace Operational Care Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating the transportation, handling and storage of specialized aircraft parts. They should be a subject matter expert in these products, as well as the logistical requirements for handling. The role will help support the North America aerospace operations. The person will lead the team of people covering 24/7 operations.
How you create impact
+ **Customer Representation and Communication:**
+ Represent the USA AOG & Engine Desk to both internal and external customers.
+ Communicate with customers via phone and email.
+ Handle general customer service inquiries related to tracking and tracing of AOG & Engine shipments.
+ **Documentation and Compliance:**
+ Prepare, handle, and process documentation for AOG & Engine moves.
+ Maintain compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and customer requirements.
+ **Coordination and Logistics:**
+ Coordinate all aspects of pick-up and delivery, including initiation, rate quotation, status updates, and vendor invoice approval.
+ Track and trace shipments, monitor vendor performance, and address and resolve service irregularities.
+ Ensure shipments adhere to schedules through follow-up.
+ Collaborate with company branches, gateways, and other offices under the direction of the AOG & Engine Desk Manager to deliver high-level service.
+ Coordinate national air logistics for AOG & Engine Aerospace customers.
+ **Pricing and Profitability:**
+ Create quotes for pricing teams and customers.
+ Maximize profitability on all files, maintaining cost consciousness.
+ **Issue Resolution and Risk Management:**
+ Escalate unresolved issues or risks before they impact the company.
+ **Operational Improvement:**
+ Assist in developing and implementing strategies for efficient air logistics operations.
+ Monitor and improve service performance metrics specific to aerospace logistics.
+ Collaborate with the Airfreight team to enhance operational procedures and customer satisfaction.
+ Provide specialized support for aerospace AOG & Engine industry-specific requirements and challenges.
+ Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize air logistics processes for aerospace clients.
+ **People management:**
+ Lead a team of people working night and weekend shifts
+ Conduct regular meetings to set the objectives and drive the goals
+ Review performance
+ Conduct performance reviews
+ Train the team, crosstrain between different responsibilities
+ Review productivity
+ **Miscellaneous:**
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
What we would like you to bring
+ Strong ability to work under pressure and resolve conflict
+ Ability to establish priorities and accomplish multiple tasks
+ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
+ Analytical and problem solving skills
+ A minimum of 3-5 years experience in Airfreight
+ College degree and/or certification a plus
+ Proficient computer skills (solid data entry with high accuracy rate, email, internet, excel, word, etc.)
+ Solid knowledge of export procedures/documentation is a plus
+ Solid knowledge of domestic and international geography including countries, major cities and airports.
+ Strong people’s management skills
+ Strong communication skills
