Your role at Clorox:
The Shipping and Receiving Operator plays a critical role in managing the efficient and safe movement of raw materials and finished goods between the Kingsford Burnside production areas and associated warehouse facilities. This position requires daily operation of forklifts and yard trucks, with a strong emphasis on safety and precision. The operator is skilled in stacking finished goods pallets and ensuring proper handling and storage. Responsibilities include loading and unloading inbound and outbound shipments via the loading dock, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting overall logistics flow to meet production and distribution timelines. Shift to be determined.
In this role, you will:
Loading/Unloading Trucks
+ Demonstrates leadership on their operating shift and ownership for their shift’s safety
+ Using a forklift and the RT10 scanners safely loads and unloads finished goods on trucks using a bill of lading
+ Demonstrates the ability to read a bill of lading, understanding the # of pallets and type of product requested
+ Demonstrates the ability to operate a yard truck moving trailer around the shipping area and backing up to a dock
+ Demonstrate the ability to operate a yard truck moving raw goods and finished goods to and from KCL and packaging departments
+ Must become Yard Truck Certified
+ Must become Forklift Certified within 20 working days in the position by demonstrating the operations of the forklift regarding safety/speed
Warehouse Operations
+ You must use a forklift to move products within warehouses by safely and correctly picking palletized loads, determining safe routes to destination and moving forward and reverse with loads.
+ Must demonstrate the ability to take down finished products from a stack safely
+ Must demonstrate the ability to stack finished products safely and properly
+ Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of warehouse breaker locations, alarms, and what to do in the event of a warehouse emergency
+ Using floor sweepers to keep facilities clean and organized
+ Use of a pallet rotator when finished goods are found damaged at the base of the pallet or a pallet is damaged
+ Use of a stretch wrapper to rewrap damaged goods, this is a manual process and requires training
Computer
+ Use Microsoft Outlook daily
+ Use of RT10 tablet scanner on fork trucks
Minor Maintenance
+ Able to create and complete work orders
+ Ability to perform pre-op checks on forklift
+ Ability to perform pre-op checks on Yard Truck
**Qualified Hourly Pay Rate** = $22.25
12 Hour Shift
What we look for:
External Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
+ Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and SAP helpful
+ 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
+ Score of 30 or better on the Bennett Mechanical Test
Internal Applicants must meet following minimum requirements:
+ No records of misconduct or performance issues within the last 12 months
+ 3 or less attendance points as of the job posting date
+ 100% Active Participation in the plant safety programs
