The West Side Federation for Senior and Supportive Housing, Inc. (WSFSSH) is a community-based organization responding to the need for low-cost housing. Our mission is to provide safe, affordable housing with supportive services within a residential setting that enhances the independence and dignity of each person. WSFSSH develops, manages, and provides social services in housing for low-income persons, especially those who are older, who have experienced homelessness and who live with mental illness.
Job Summary
The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for developing the recruitment efforts and strategies to attract, recruit and retain talent. This role will manage the recruitment team, oversee the full recruitment lifecycle and will be responsible for a high-level portfolio of positions.
Please Note: This is a full-time position (4) days a week on-site, (1) day a week working from home.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Recruitment Strategy
+ Develop and implement talent acquisition strategies aligned with organizational goals.
+ Assist in annual forecasting of hiring needs based on workforce planning.
+ Oversee candidate flow with the recruitment staff including background, references and education checks; report weekly and monthly.
+ Maintain active vacancy report in collaboration with the budget team.
+ Actively participate and update in weekly and bi-monthly onboarding activities.
+ Lead, with the Managing Director, Human Resources, in staff projects including retention initiatives, onboarding and ad hoc projects that align with the role.
+ Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates.
+ Use multiple sourcing channels — job boards, social media, networking, referrals, and headhunting.
+ Optimize the recruitment process for efficiency and candidate experience.
Team Leadership
+ Lead, mentor, and manage recruiters and dotted line, HR coordinator.
+ Monitor team performance and ensure compliance, follow through and projects are being performed in a timely manner.
Employer Branding
+ Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to promote the company as an employer of choice.
+ Manage employer branding campaigns and employee value proposition (EVP).
Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities
+ Strategic thinking and planning
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills
+ Knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR analytics
+ Negotiation and relationship management
+ Data-driven decision-making
+ Familiarity with labor laws and DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) initiatives
+ Experience working with position controls and workforce planning a plus
Required and Preferred Education, Experience and Credentials
+ Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and relative experience
+ Experience: 7+ years in recruitment or HR, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Physical Requirements
+ Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
+ Must be able to lift or push up to 10 pounds at a time.
+ Travel within our sites, as needed.
