Job Description
Principle Duties:
+ Work with the Fluor Program Manager and Fluor Construction Managers to provide the following:
+ Work with the project team to develop overall project sourcing and execution strategy.
+ Work with Fluor Construction Manager to develop and execute sourcing plan & BVOA’s for project. Know and understand the sourcing plans for your projects.
+ Participate in all Partner Selection Activities
+ Work with Project Core Team to establish the agenda, goals and timing of sessions.
+ Support project teams in optimizing projects by identifying and removing waste and adding value to the projects through Lean Construction practices.
+ Review engineering documents, vendor information and final design EI packages as needed with the client, design engineers and others to provide constructability during all phases of the project.
+ Coordinate with the appropriate trade partner supervisor to review, walk down, and communicate the scope of work.
+ Ensure that you fully understand the scope of work from initial conception to construction completion.
+ Construction Managers will validate all cost estimates to ensure all scope is represented, cost accounted for & grouping is accurate prior to it being considered final.
+ Participate in estimate reviews and provide construction input to each line item in the cost estimates.
+ Lead and support project teams in the identification of changes in scope or unexpected field conditions and ensuring proper change management is supported and followed.
+ Work with the project team to develop the QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) plan and verify on-going monitoring.
+ Support organization of the projects Win/Loss Metrics & ensure they are documented in Fluor’s O.C.S. (Operations Control System) with support from the assigned Fluor Project Program Manager or Fluor Construction Manager.
+ Stay informed of engineering documents, vendor information and final design deliverables as needed from the client, design engineers and construction during all phases of the project.
+ During construction, the Fluor Project Lead Construction Manager is accountable to lead weekly execution meeting activities but may require support from other Fluor Construction Managers as schedule or staffing needs require.
+ Work with the project execution team to maintain accurate schedules using the Last Planner System.
Leadership Expectations:
+ Provide construction interface with plant personnel to develop downtimes and construction work areas.
+ Promote the importance of safety. This will include but not be limited to:
+ Understand and ensure compliance with Fluor’s Site HSE Execution Plan (954)
+ Complete one BOS form each week, at a minimum.
+ Lead / Complete at minimum (1) Safety Assessment per month.
+ Coordinate with P&G technicians and Fluor safety to ensure all site-specific permits are thoroughly understood by trade partners and are being used and/or issued properly.
+ Support project teams with the development of safety requirements with-in master project schedules.
+ Coordinate and schedule the timing for site orientations and on-boarding with Fluor Safety when bringing new hires and/or contractors on site.
+ Monitor the work in the field. Make frequent daily walks in the field to review, monitor, and evaluate the contractor’s progress, performance, quality, and compliance to the site safety rules, specific requirements, and procedures.
+ Approve T&M timesheets. Verify that the work was performed that day and ensure contractors are using the correct WBS numbers. Timesheets used by all contractors are to be the Site Standard Timesheet or previously approved documents.
Basic Job Requirements
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and fourteen (14) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eighteen (18) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Other Job Requirements
• Proven ability promoting outstanding customer service and client relations
• Excellent skills in interpersonal relations, conflict resolution, communication, and leadership; possess strong presentation ability to address senior management, client management, and total project personnel with command
• Basic computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet, and electronic presentation programs
• Competency in administrative functions related to project and office operations is important
• Functional proficiency in project controls, human relations, industrial relations, and contract management as it applicable to assigned area of responsibility; possess the capacity to direct those functions as required to support the project execution while typically being well seasoned in most functions as they apply to management of the project
• Demonstrated strong decision making, critical thinking and problem solving skills with ability to remain calm while taking charge in critical situations

Market Rate Statement: The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.

Salary Range: $102,000.00 - $184,000.00
