Job Description
**AECOM** is seeking an Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Engineer to be based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The ideal candidate will have experience in ITS and emerging transportation technology with leadership skills to support our Technology/ITS team in Minnesota. The successful candidate will need to be a forward-looking team player who can work collaboratively with others, in a dynamic setting to support external client engagement, project management, business development, and internal leadership.
Job Responsibilities
+ Conduct technical work in the field of traffic engineering, ITS and emerging technology
+ Lead or support a team of professionals to deliver ITS or emerging technology projects
+ Support growth of ITS practice in Minnesota
+ Provide program support functions for large engineering programs across the Midwest
+ Lead pursuits of both traditional government RFPs as well as unsolicited proposals related to ITS and new technologies in transportation
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
+ BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
+ Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Minnesota or ability to obtain license within 6 months
Preferred Qualifications
+ 7+ years of ITS and traffic engineering experience
+ Experience with MnDOT, MN municipalities, or other state DOT’s projects
+ Experience in ITS and TSMO planning, systems engineering, ITS design, connected and automated vehicle technology, and smart mobility solutions
+ Experience in proposal development
+ Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills
Additional Information
Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $99000 to $155000.
