Role
The Digital Marketing Coordinator supports the Marketing Department by managing CMS content, optimizing for SEO, creating engaging content, and coordinating marketing materials for departments and branches. This role collaborates with third-party vendors to implement SEO strategies and with internal Marketing team members to produce content and manage marketing print materials. Key responsibilities include writing, publishing, and optimizing educational and web content, managing digital communication announcements, and coordinating promotional item distribution. The coordinator also oversees due diligence for Marketing vendors to stay compliant.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Content Marketing
+ Act as the lead and executor for all SEO and SearchGPT optimization efforts across the Credit Union's digital platforms through leveraging AI-powered tools such as Breeze Assistant, MarketMuse, and others to enhance CMS site structure and individual page optimization for both traditional SEO and AI-driven search experiences.
+ Implement SEO/SearchGPT tactics on the CMS such as site audit, keyword optimization, and internal and back linking.
+ Coordinate with Marketing team members to develop and implement a comprehensive annual content strategy, including blog posts, pillar pages, topic clusters, and downloadable resources (e.g., ebooks), aligned with SEO/SearchGPT goals and conversion objectives.
+ Coordinate monthly with third-party agencies and vendors regarding SEO / Search GPT best practices and recommendations.
+ Monitor, analyze, and report monthly and/or quarterly SEO and SearchGPT performance metrics using tools such as SilkTide, Google Search Console, and other analytics platforms to inform ongoing strategy.
+ Stay current with evolving SEO trends, AI innovations, SearchGPT developments, and algorithm changes to ensure the Credit Union's digital presence remains competitive, adaptive, and forward-looking.
+ Act as the key content writer for the Marketing Department by strategizing, creating, and publishing monthly content such as pillar pages and blog posts that enhance SEO/Search GPT optimization and ranking.
+ Identify and select branded imagery to correspond with blog posts and online educational content.
CMS Maintenance
+ Create and publish CMS maintenance updates such as rate changes and product changes.
+ Ensure CMS system is up-to-date with correct information on products, rates, and messaging.
+ Conduct quarterly scans to ensure ADA compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AAA and implement recommendations as needed.
Campaign & Department Coordination
+ Schedule and update internal signage and marketing messages including, but not limited to, lobby screens, email signatures, online banking, credit card statements, and Pulsate
+ Distribute campaign and marketing materials to branches for campaigns and as marketing materials are requested.
+ Maintain marketing collateral inventory such as brochures.
+ Create and publish member emails pertaining to items such as important updates and monthly newsletters.
+ Order and distribute promotional items as requested by Business Development or other organization departments.
+ Act as main coordinator for third-party vendor due diligence.
Additional responsibilities
+ Attend and participate as a Marketing representative in credit union sponsored events
+ Assist with internal and NCUA audit as needed.
+ Assist with additional marketing initiatives and departmental duties as needed.
+ Complete annual CUNA Marketing Compliance courses to stay up-to-date with compliance regulations.
+ Complete the following certifications within 12 months of position start date:
+ Marketing Hub Software Hubspot Certification
+ Content Marketing Hubspot Certification
+ SEO Hubspot Certification
+ SEO II Hubspot Certification
+ Content Hub Hubspot Certification
+ Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
Knowledge and Skills
Experience
+ One to three years similar or related professional experience in CMS maintenance, SEO optimization, and content writing preferred. Ability to create clear, concise, and engaging content and carefully review the content for accuracy and consistency. Ability to manage multiple updates and deadlines effectively.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Communications preferred.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
Ability to speak and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees, customers and managers. Ability to provide constructive feedback to others.
OTHER SKILLS
• Knowledge and understanding of website design, user experience and UA marketing trends • Ability to ensure content meets WCAG Compliance • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Canva, and CapCut. • Exceptional knowledge of the English language is particularly important.
