We have an exciting opportunity for a **Software System Engineering and Integration Lead** to join the team with Bastion, a teammate company supporting NASA JSC Engineering's EX5 Branch .
**The Software System Engineering and Integration Lead** will review the entire Gateway project and make sure that required artifacts are in place, ensure requirements are met, understand the overall project, and make sure toolchain is covering all the needed items and doing it efficiently.
The **Software SE&I Lead** will have:
+ Software web development experience - more than just trivial experience in web programming and integration
+ Knowledge of full-stack software development (front end, middleware, database)
+ Experience with requirements and verification workflows and artifacts
+ Strong experience with database tools, data flows, and user interfaces
+ Be creative - develop new tools and processes
+ Strong collaboration, communication, and integration skills
+ DOORS Next Gen (DNG) knowledge is required.
The **Software System Engineering and Integration Lead** will:
+ Design and document software architecture needed to satisfy requirements - understand requirements and determine what needs to be developed
+ Work in a team environment.
+ Maintain a professional relationship with the NASA customer, other NASA support contractors and the Gateway HALO team.
+ Provide coordinated support between engineering and other organizations/programs
+ Perform other duties as required.
Requisition Qualifications:
This position has been posted at multiple levels. Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised.
+ Typically requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and normally possess 5-10 years of related experience.
+ Experience collecting/understanding stakeholder needs.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) is required.
+ Demonstrate excellent communication, collaboration, and coordination skills with internal and external customers
+ Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines and schedules
+ Ability to prepare written documents/presentations and to verbally present at various meetings
Requisition Preferences:
+ Previous experience working with NASA is strongly preferred.
+ Software development knowledge of React, typescript, APIs, databases.

Essential Functions
Work Environment
Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).
Equipment and Machines
Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).
Attendance
Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
