BAE Systems is looking for a Quality Hardware Engineer to join our team. They will contribute to Program performance, verification of product/process conformance, and customer satisfaction by applying their technical expertise to execute product assurance engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle. This position will be responsible to support hardware designs and digital hardware architectures for all products. This position may also include some development support of hardware engineering teams.
Typical responsibilities for planning, documenting, and implementing the Quality Assurance function include:
+ Contribute to Hardware Engineering project and AS9145 APQP bid estimates.
+ Develop Product/Project Quality Assurance plans and ensure execution.
+ Provide clear communication and flow down of program quality requirements to all affected disciplines (Engineering, Operations, and Program Management).
+ Contribute to hardware engineering requirements capture and analysis in area of domain expertise.
+ Participate in Material Review Board and Continuous Improvement Board.
+ Support System Test monitoring, Test set-up conformity, and review of Test Reports and Qualification Test Reports and failure investigations reports.
+ Review and approve Engineering documentation, design changes and development artifacts.
+ Participate in design & development review processes covering planning, requirements, design, validation, and verification.
+ Use metrics and measures effectively to analyze and report on program performance information.
+ Uses trend analysis and other tools to identify early warning indicators of program issues and initiates preventative or corrective actions.
+ Cross pollinating best practices and lessons learned between projects facilitating a culture of continuous improvement.
+ Initiating, facilitating, managing, and validating the effectiveness of root cause analysis, corrective, and preventative actions.
+ Facilitating Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities through to closure.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Bachelor s Degree and 0-2 years of experience or 4-6 years of experience in lieu of a degree
+ Knowledge of or experience in hardware development life cycle including requirements capture and verification, design and development, sub-level and system level integration and testing
+ Knowledge of or experience participating in Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities
+ Must be capable of obtaining a U.S. DoD Secret security clearance
+ Strong communicator capable of working through complex issues with peers, management and multiple functions
+ Proficient in MS Office Products including Word, Excel, Power Point
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
+ BS in Electrical Engineering Preferred
+ Engineering experience with CCA development from AABOM stage to factory transition is a plus.
+ Experience or familiarity with AS9145 APQP.
+ AS9100/ISO9001 certification & audit experience
+ Experience with JIRA workflow management
+ A working knowledge of Oracle a real plus
+ Experience with FEA software package (ANSYS preferred)
+ Familiar with both thermal and structural testing and analysis
+ Experience with military aerospace testing standards

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $70735 - $120250
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
