Job Description
This role will support a Tier 1 automotive manufacturing client in Duncan, SC. supporting the 3rd shift, working from 11pm to 7:30am. You will work on programming, implementing, and troubleshooting PLCs, robots, and HMIs across the site. You will evaluate and improve manufacturing equipment and controls, perform preventive maintenance, and write machine control programs to ensure safe and efficient operation. You maintain programming standards and software, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, and verify machine functionality through testing. You integrate various control systems, manage device interfaces, and ensure machine safety. You also lead automation and robotics improvements, support continuous improvement projects, and collaborate with internal and external teams to meet project goals.

Skills and Requirements
2 to 4 years of work experience in a related field.
Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. as needed.
Must have a current and valid Driver’s License.
General mechanical systems knowledge and industrial electricity skills.
Must be able to use RS Logix 5000 to program and troubleshoot equipment.
Ability to use a laptop to connect and monitor PLC programming for the purpose of troubleshooting machinery function issues.
Ability to manually operate industrial robotics to address machinery stoppages.
Ability to read complex industrial controls wiring diagrams and use these with a multi-meter to troubleshoot issues.
Familiarity with variable speed drives, setup, programming, and troubleshooting. Familiarity/Experience with Allen Bradley Control Logix PLC’s, 6 axis industrial robots, and Fanuc Robotics.
Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, electrical, or mechanical engineering preferred.
